Jack prepared for a day with daddy

hols again

We have been super lucky and had a lovely hol in spain with the little ones. Jack went on his first plane which went v smoothly. Em unfortunately got ill with nasty high temp and we think a chest infection but was fine by the time we left... CJ took some great piccies of us attached. Since our return Em has stood on her own for the first time and is getting much more confident with her walker and is being as lovely as ever, whilst Jack is getting smilier by the day. Jack has started solids and has taken to it like a duck to water wish i could say the same about bottles....

Appointments

We have had some good news on ems health front over the last few months her cardiology appointment confirmed that her asd is very small and within normal limits so won't be reviewed for 3 years and the audiology folks confirmed she remains glue ear free!! Thought I'd add a few more piccies for good measure.

Embles an update

We have been useless at keeping the blog up to date but a quick recap of last six months, Em started feeding herself with a spoon just after we got back from Spain in September which has been a godsend since Jack has arrived, she is getting v good at feeding herself now and has started using a fork too. She is going through a rather adorable stage of copying everything we do including arm crossing, texting and loves my new iphone. She is coming on with leaps and bounds with her speech and can say quite a few words and sign coming up to forty. She zooms around the place still on her bum but is a very adept cruiser and makes some tentative steps with the walker insisting on clapping herself enthusiastically after every step. She loves her little brother nearly as much as my iphone but as he doesnt play nursery rhymes he has a little way to go yet.

Jacks arrival

On 29th October 2009 Jack William made his arrival, 10 days early a sign of his general impatience to get his needs met. He is now 3 months old and it has been a hard few months, his smiles are lovely but he has a temper on him wow betide if he is not fed the instant he wants it so I am now looking back at those first months with Emily and wishing that I had appreciated them more. He is more interested in the world now and i'm looking forward to enjoying the next few months with him before I go back to work.

Jimbo on babysitting duty

I left Jim to his own devices for the weekend and went off to London for a girly weekend with Kate and Dee. He managed to have lots of fun without me:-( Tried out Dawn and Craigs Taga bike which looked like lots of fun and took Em out for coffee. She came through the weekend unscathed other than slightly sunburnt legs - naughty daddy forgot to put cream on them. Feeding is coming along she will now hold the spoon or fork herself and eat off it as long as its loaded for her. Maybe we will have it conquered by the time number two arrives!

New Forest

Had a fab weekend with the girls while the boys camped in the new forest. Thankfully the best weekends weather so far in the last month or so. We visited them daily with supplies but definately chose the more sensible option. Ollie loved his first ever camping experience and maybe next time we may join them, but then again maybe not.
